Chat

The chat section provides a platform for you to engage in discussions and communicate with other members of the site in real time.

Starting a Conversation #

To begin a new conversation, simply click on the “Start New Conversation” button. From there, you can select the contact you want to message and set the subject of the conversation. Then you can type your message and click the send button to send it and this will start the new conversation.

Alternatively, users can send bulk messages to multiple contacts at once by clicking the bulk message icon at the top right.

Conversation Options #

Message Options #

You can access options for a message by clicking on the dropdown menu located next to it. From these options you are able to copy the text to your clipboard or delete the message.

Chat Options #

You can access options for a message by clicking on the dropdown menu located next to it. The available options include:

• Copy – This option allows you to copy the message text to your clipboard..
• Delete – This option lets you remove the message from the chat history.

In the chat section, you can access options for a specific chat by clicking on the three-dot menu located next to it. The available options include:

• Pin to top – This option allows you to pin the chat to the top of your chat list for quick access.
• Mute conversation – This option lets you silence notifications from the chat, so you won’t be interrupted
• Delete conversation: This option lets you permanently delete the entire conversation from your chat history, but you are able to restore it in a popup notification at the bottom right in the available time period.
• Clear messages – This option allows you to clear all messages from the chat history, but the chat itself will still remain.
• Erase conversation – This option lets you delete the entire conversation from your chat history.

Settings #

When clicking on the “Cogwheel” icon, a settings menu will appear, providing options to customize your notification preferences. You can enable or disable email notifications and choose whether to have sound notifications for new messages turned on or off.
